About Corey Charlesworth

Corey Charlesworth is a lifelong Floridian, earning his undergraduate degree at Florida State University in 2011. He went on to earn his law degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2015, where he excelled at the Criminal Law Clinic and work as a Certified Legal Intern at the Broward County Public Defender’s Office in his last semester of law school. He continued to work at the Public Defender’s office for 7.5 years, litigating criminal cases in the Juvenile, Misdemeanor, and Felony divisions. Corey developed a specialty in Mental Health Law, defending incompetent clients in Felony Mental Health Court, advocating for defendants in Veteran’s Treatment Court, and defending indigent individuals who have been wrongfully Baker Acted.
